DESCRIPTION:Session Description: What does it take to be a good leader? Be a good servant. Everyone needs to start somewhere\, sometime. Start with baby steps and work your way up. Learn from a couple of seasoned RIM vets what it means to lead by serving\, a lesson that crosses all aspects of your professional and personal lives. \n \nDave McDermott\, CRM\, FAI\, is an independent consultant providing information governance guidance and best practices to organizations. With more than 46 years’ experience in almost every facet of records and information management. He is a Certified Records Manager\, Fellow of ARMA International\, and past president and chairman of the board for both ARMA International and the Institute of Certified Records Managers. \nBruce Walters\, CRM/NS\, is the Director of Records Management for AECOM and is nearing 50 years in the RIM profession. He is a multiple-time president of the ARMA BVC and is now a past president of NIRMA (the nuclear industry’s version of ARMA). He served ARMA International on numerous committees as well as the Institute of Certified Records Managers as a grader and an appeals grader\, earning his CRM in 1993 and his Nuclear Specialist designation in 2018. \nLocation: Ada County Highway District (ACHD)\, 5800 N Meeker Ave\, Boise\, ID 83713.
